Good Evening, first I would like to start by saying that I am extremely great full to the members of the Prairie Heights FAA. The parents of these wonderful children, the staff of Prairie Heights and most of all Mr.. Noel and Mr. . Eel for welcoming me into the Prairie Heights family as if I were one of your own. For many of you this will be some of the last moments that we get to spend together during my time as your student teacher.These past twelve weeks have flown by and have been filled with memories, some were happy, some were sad, many of them taught me a lesson and others filled e with gratification watching each and every member succeed in their own way. I know that many of you have gotten to know me very well throughout my time here and for all of you I would like to give you one last memorable lesson, so I hope that the words I am about to share with you are based on true knowledge and ripened with wisdom. I think that the reason that I love these things so much Is cause they all hold elements of life that suck with us no matter how old or mature we can be. I know that I dont seem much older than you but trust me I have been in your shoes, had my own barriers to jump through, and fought to accomplish my own dreams. For those of you who dont know, Boy Meets World Is an astounding show that was at the height of Its popularity during the asss.The show follows a young boy named Corny, his family, his best friend Shawn, and his girlfriend Topping. Part of the reason that love this show is because it is hilarious, but the other more important art of why I like it is because it shows real life problems that we all have to deal with from time to time. I know you are all thinking that every sitcom does this, but not In the same way, every episode has Its own problem and you get to see the characters act out the positives and negatives of each decision that is made.While this is great and the s how is one of my favorites, it simply lacks some realism. You see, in real life you cant create a problem, solve the problem, and save all the relationships you may have hurt In the process In order to have a happy ending and hilarious anecdotes In a half hour. Wouldnt life be great if that were the case? Lets think about that for a minute. I am not sure what you decided but as ideal as that story sounds, I believe that it is the struggles In life that make us stronger and it seems to me that the longer you struggle the stronger you get.Although my life can not be Just like Boy Meets World, there are many quotes from the show that have come from lessons that have in turn taught me a little something as well. One of my favorites that I would like to share with you is: You are going to learn something from life every day. And make mistakes. And youll make good friends and Mr. . Fenny will probably teach you every grade youre ever in. And maybe someday youll fall in love with a woman as wonderful as Topping.And be lucky enough to make a good friend as Shawn and when youre not a little boy anymore, when the world has taught you how to be a man Then youll still make mistakes. But your family, and all those good friends you Eve made along the way, will help you. And even though youll think the world has gone out of its way to teach you all the tough lessons, youll realize that its the same 1 OFF no matter what happens, somehow the world will protect you, too. Now, I understand hat there will be a time when no matter how strong the downtimes have made you life will still stink.I guarantee you that there will be a time when after you evaluate each step you have taken there will be a moment when you think that every chance you took was a bad idea and every door you went through was the wrong one. In the movie Tangled we constantly see Repulse stroking her hair singing Heal what has been hurt. Change the fates design. Save what has been lost. Bring back what once was mine. If only it were this easy, I can tell you if it were, my hair would be bright and shiny. Unfortunately, this is not the case.Believe me when I say, I wish I could protect you from all the hurt you will encounter. I wish I could change what fate has designed for you when its not everything you want. I wish that I could save what you have lost and bring you back things that were once yours. However, each one of these things has to happen in order to grow up. I know that there are many of you sitting there thinking I can not wait to grow up and get on with my life, but trust me when I say to savor every moment of what you have right here.You will miss this, and you will want these moments back, and believe it or not there will come a time hen you will wish these days hadnt gone by so fast. My advice to you is to live every day like it matters. In the movie Titanic we hear a young man named Jack declare: Vive got everything I need right here with me. Vive got air in my lungs, a few blank sheets of paper. I mean, I love waking up in the morning not knowing whats goanna happen or, who Im goanna meet, where Im goanna wind up.Just the other night I was sleeping under a bridge and now here I am on the grandest ship in the world having champagne with you fine people. I figure lifes a gift and I dont intend on wasting it. You dont know what hand youre goanna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you To make each day count. My challenge to all of you is to do exactly that, make life count. Finally, recently I have watched many of you struggle over chapter offices, making sports teams, trying out for parts in the play, and being a part of many other things in your crazy wonderful lives.There is a song by Taylor Swift that has recently made its radio debut, named Eyes Open. I know that many of you have heard this song, be it in the movie The Hunger Games, casually on the radio, or blaring it in your car on the way home. The secret lies within you.That person will reflect all the things you have learned from your parents to your friends to y our past experiences. My wish for all of you is that person that shows is someone that you are proud to be. I hope that you all dream big dreams and strive to accomplish them.
